In 2010 I created The ESSEC Research Center on Capitalism, Globalization and Governance - C²G². The mission of the Center was to foster a trans-disciplinary focus on Business in Society and Business and Society issues. The evolution of the contemporary business world is difficult to understand without replacing it into the broad context – historical, institutional, political and cultural – in which it is embedded. The Center focused more specifically on four broad research agenda points:
-
What is Capitalism?
-
How does Globalization matter?
-
How to rethink Governance as a consequence?
-
How to understand CSR – corporate social responsibility?
As I left ESSEC in 2016 the Center ceased to function but you can find a presentation in the video on the left and video and text archives are available here.
